What is a Hoop Jam?
This is not a class but an opportunity to try hooping out, practice, play and have fun in a community setting. Bring water, friends, family and your own hoop, if you have one. We will have music and extra hoops on hand if you don't have your own hoop yet. We also have a few hoops available to purchase. Jams are often promoted on TWITTER and organized on the hoopernatural yahoo group.
What hoops do you recommend for Hoopdance?
We recommend fitness hoops for hoopdance. These hoops are sized appropriately for the size of the user (i.e., larger for adults and smaller for children). These hoops are taped and constructed to weigh more than the hoops you can find in a toy store. This makes keeping them spinning easier. Check our SHOP for hoops that we make and sell.
Do you have outdoor class if it is raining?
No. Rain is bad for hoops and makes them too slippery to manipulate. If it is raining or threatening rain check the site or call 202-276-0517 to find out of class is cancelled.
