Free Intro to Hooping Class - Sunday January 24 (6-7pm)
@ Lululemon P Street (1461 P Street NW Washington DC 20005)
Learn Waist Hooping, and Lunges and Walking while hooping. Bring water and your own hoop. Hoops will also be available for you to use during class. We have room for 10 hoopers so RSVP at logancircle-store@lululemon.com to secure your spot.

FEBRUARY 2010 Events
Beginner Level 1&2 Workshop (4 Week Series)
WHAT: Hooping just 10 minutes can burn 50-100 calories. Learn the foundational moves of hooping along with some cool tricks in this 4 week series. We will begin with waist hooping, hip hooping, arm hooping and advance to chest hooping. In class you will use an adult size, weighted hoop that makes it easy to learn. Bring water and your own hoop. Hoops will also be available for you to use during class. SPACE IS LIMITED so register early to secure your spot. Granetta will also have hoops for purchase at class.
This workshop is great for people who have never hooped before and for those who want to polish their foundational skills and advance to chest hooping.
WHEN: Saturdays - February 6, 13, 20, and 27th, 2010 from 5pm-6pm
WHERE: Joy of Motion ATLAS Dance Studio – 1333 H Street NE, Washington DC 20002
COST: $60 for entire series pre-registered (hoops provided for use during class) OR $18/class for drop-in
Due to the current snow storm the class scheduled for Saturday 2/6 has been canceled. We will be making up the time. Stay tuned for make-up details. But, see you next Saturday 2/13 for the beginning of the workshop.

FREE HOOP JAM - Friday Feb. 19th 7pm-9pm
Free Hoop Jam at Joy of Motion Atlas (1333 H Street NE). A Hoop Jam is an informal, no experience necessary, open-to-the-public way try out adult hooping and to meet other hoopers in the DC community. Hoop Jams are free.NOTE: This Event is full. Hooping Workout Class at Results The Gym - Friday Feb. 26 (6:30pm-8pm)
Learn the basic moves of hooping (aka hoola hooping) in a class geared to make you sweat and smile!! Hooping 10 minutes can burn 50-100 calories and we will also be doing moves that tone the entire body. Beginners are welcome and experienced hoopers can get a workout too in this class. $10 for Results members. $20 for non-members. MARCH 2010 Events
Free Intro to Hooping Class - Friday March 5 (5:30-6:30pm)

This class promises to be a great core workout. I will do a hooping demo and then teach Waist Hooping, and some other moves to add intensity to waist hooping. In class you will use an adult size, weighted hoop that makes it easy to learn. Bring water and your own hoop. Hoops will also be available for you to use during class. First come, first serve on spots.This class will be followed by a Free Bellydancing class from 6:30 to 7:30pm.

If you have experience, I will offer new techniques and ideas to expand your repertoire such as chest, shoulder, or thigh hooping. I can also teach other moves such as isolations or jumps or give you ways to transition between moves. Hoops are supplied for class use and purchase. Wear comfortable clothing and footwear, and bring water.
