September/Oct 2011 Classes/Events
Dupont Circle Saturday Hoop Jams (beginning Sept. 17th): Spend Saturday mornings working out under the trees. You will be able to practice in this informal session and learn some hoop moves from other hoopers. This is not a class but a practice session. Music and some hoops will be provided. This event is open to beginners and drop-ins. Saturday mornings in September and October at Dupont Circle from 9:15am-10:15am . FREE. Go to CONTACT to RSVP.
Hoop Family Fun: For adults and children ages 7 and up. Get a great workout with your family learning the fundamentals of Hoop Dancing. Fun music and cool tricks with hoops provided for us during class! This class is open to beginners and drop-ins. Thursday evenings in September at Dance Place from 5:30pm-6:30pm (beginning Sept. 15th). Class Special! 1 Adult and 1 Child can drop in together for $15 or special rate $144 for semester. Thursday HoopLUNCH (beginning Sept. 15th): This Mixed-Level class allows you to get a fun workout outside. Burn calories under the shady trees near Folger Park on Capitol Hill. AUGUST 2011 Events
Saturday, July 30th - Checkout Hoopernatural™ performing at 4:30pm as part of National Dance Day on Saturday, July 30th. Additional performances from 3pm-6pm at the Sylvan Theater on The National Mall near 15th & Independence Ave., NW. Granetta will remain on the Mall after performance until 6pm with hoops for people to try.
Thursday mornings in August Stanton Park from 10am-11am: Mixed-Level class will be great cardio and core work without a single crunch. This class is great for moms, since you can bring your baby. This class is open to beginners and drop-ins. Go to SHOP to purchase. Class must be prepaid as money cannot be accepted in class. INSTRUCTOR - Granetta
Wednesday nights in August at Dupont Circle from 6:30pm-7:30pm (beginning August 10th): This Mixed-Level class allows you to get a fun workout outside. Burn calories in one of the coolest spots in town. This class is open to beginners and drop-ins. Go to SHOP to purchase. Class must be prepaid as money cannot be accepted in class. INSTRUCTOR - Maria

Saturday afternoons in August (8/6, 8/13, 8/20) from 12:30pm-1:30pm at the Dance Place in NE DC: Dance Place has a fabulous light filled space for you to learn the fundamentals and advanced moves of HoopDance.
